Gastro and Wine Festival kicks off Budva Summer

This year’s culture and entertainment event Budvansko ljeto (Budva Summer) will officially start on Friday, May 22, with Gastro and Wine Festival.
Local and international food and wine producers and sommeliers will take part in the two-day festival which will take place at the Slovenska Plaza.
Jelena Radenovic, director of the Tourist Organisation of Budva, said that the goal of Gastro and Wine Festival is to promote national cuisine and Montenegrin wines as an integral part of Budva’s tourist offer. She added that event traditionally draws a large number of food and wine lovers, both locals and tourists.
Budva Summer will last for nearly four months where a number of festivals, concerts and cultural events will take place including music festival Pjesma Mediterana (The Song of the Mediterranean), Cadmopolis, Cinemania, Festival of the street troupes and Children’s Theatre Festival.
