Austrian Styria buys 25% of daily Vijesti

Austrian media group Styria has bought 25 per cent stake of the Daily Press company, which publishes the Podgorica daily Vijesti, reports BETA news agency.
Montenegrin partners in Daily Press now own 59 per cent of its shares, and the US MDLF has 16 per cent, Montenegrin media reported.
Styria Medien AG was founded in 1869 and is the third largest media group in Austria. It employs 2,600 people, and in 2005 had a turnover of EUR 451 million. Currently, Styria is the largest media publisher in Southeast Europe. Styria is the sole proprietor of the leading Croatian dailies - Vecernji List and 24 Sata. The Austrian group also announced future investments into Serbia.
