American corner opens in Pljevlja

On Thursday, April 2, US Ambassador to Montenegro Roderick Moore and Mayor of Pljevlja Filip Vukovic officially opened an American corner in Pljevlja.
The project is a result of cooperation between the Municipality of Pljevlja and the US Embassy in Podgorica.
This is the second American corner in Montenegro, the first one in Podgorica has been operating since 2003.
According to the agreement concluded by the Municipality of Pljevlja and the US Embassy, the Embassy financed the purchase of furniture, equipment and materials, as well as staff training, with USD 50,000, and the Municipality ensured the space and hired staff.
The Corner will have books, magazines, CD and DVD collections, and other material about American values, culture, history and other themes. It will also be the venue for forums in which Embassy visitors to Pljevlja can exchange their views and experiences with residents of Pljevlja and northern Montenegro.
