Montenegro adopted NPI

The Government adopted the national program for integration of Montenegro into the EU (NPI) yesterday. According to the plan additional EUR 800,000 will be set aside for the work of the administration in the period from 2008 to 2012. NPI is a document of 560 pages, which includes a list of obligations of Montenegro in the next 4 years, so that it would harmonise its system with the European.
Montenegro will receive EUR 166 million from the European funds until 2011. Expenses of the administration will be much higher than in other countries that were in the same position, which the Government justifies with the fact that Montenegro is a young country.
